speech music

1. don't speak word by word, rather connect words to form sound groups

2. use staircase intonation, either downward staircase or rising staircases

3. make intonation: by get louder, by streeetch, by change pitch( the best ) . every time we wan tto stress a word or an idea, we just start a new staircase

pronouciation

1. tense vowels
ɔ:=====> aaaaah  ( the sound is aw, but is now generally ah )
caught:  [kɔ:t] 
brought:  [brɔ:t] 

au =====> æ + o  ( the sound is ah+ooh, but is now generally [æo])
down: [daun]  
town: [taun]

2. lax vowel: no need to move face at all, only need to move the back of your tongue and your throat
get [get]
it [it]
took [tuk]
some [sʌm] : softest sound, pronounce exactly as [ə]

3.  semivowel
 [r]: nothing in the mouth touches anything else

4. American don't really move their lips when talking
