emule share web and emule server

1. emule share web: to find emule file id of resource

share web is a website on which people post their emule download link. The emule download link identifies a file on emule server

Good examples are http://xidong.net/ and http://www.verycd.com

2. emule server: to find who has emule files

emule server is a server hold many emule user's info. The info identifies which emule user has what emule files. A good emule server has low ping delay and lots of emule users

You can choose which server you want to connect on emule -> advance -> server list -> right click and select "connect to"

Black shows the parts of the file you already have.
Red indicates a part missing in all known sources.
Different shades of blue represent the availability of this part in the sources. The darker the blue, the more sources have this part.
Yellow denotes a part being downloaded.

2. The green bar on top of progress bar shows the total download progress of this file

• zz - Currently transferring sources

Geting an High ID for eMule

0. Introduction
The Option Panel in your eMule will show your ID either High ID or Low ID

Low ID machine can only connects to High ID machine
High ID machine can connects to High ID and Low ID machine

Having a high ID means you could download from more resouce.

1.Getting TCP and UDP port numbers

In your eMule client, go to Options/Connection/Connection 1 and note the TCP and UDP Client port numbers.

2 Widnows Firewall on Control Panel

Choose Advanced settings from the left-hand list. And then choose Inbound Rules. 

Creating two rule:

Create a rule for eMule TCP with the following parameters
 The path to your eMule client
The TCP port you recorded above


Create a rule for eMule TCP with the following parameters
 The path to your eMule client
 The UDP port you recorded above

3 Forward the TCP and UDP port to you local machine on your router

4. Restart you emule
