Been watching for deals to come back, after the recent (legitimate) 25 off 75 coupon fest. Just grabbed two AT&T EL52500 DECT 6.0 5-pc sets for $35 each before tax.
Comes out to $7 per handset.

It's out of stock for delivery in my area, but if you can order it for delivery and then do the trade in, it might be easier than doing it in store.

Math:
SKU 891686 for $99.99
$20 off with instant discount code 41969
$20 off phone trade in (any landline phone, doesn't have to be working, I didn't even need to have the power adapter)
$25 off $75 coupon

YMMV -- some stores will let you apply an "instant discount" code without an actual coupon, others won't. In this case, it was easier for me because I just showed them the price on the website and they said "oh, we need the code to get the price right" so I gave them the code from my phone. It's not actually a coupon, but I know some managers/employees will see it differently.

When they first tried it, they did it as a pricematch to the online price of 79.99 instead of 99.99 minus $20 instant discount, so it then didn't work for the minimum $85 original price required for the trade in. But this order worked -- apply $25 off coupon, apply $20 off online instant discount, and then apply the $20 trade in discount.

No idea how good the answering system is, but the reviews say you can check your messages from the handset, which some people like. I don't expect the quality to be stellar, but for $35 it was equivalent to some of the replacement batteries for older ones...

As a side note, I'm not in favor of using purchased coupons that may or may not be legitimate. But I'm posting this because a lot of people got the $25 off $75 coupons from Staples directly via their own ads recently.

*Edit* I just realized that there's a $20 off coupon in the ad. I think that's why it has a $20 lower price online. I attached the PDF in case somebody can use it. it's a slightly different code (47709 instead of 41969) but maybe it will help. I doubt you could get them both, but I'm sure somebody will try..  it would potentially bring the price down to $15, but that's going to have to be one very helpful cashier...

How do you do a trade in when you are ordereing on line?

I just bought the 25 off 75 coupon from  ezcouponshop.com . And the coupon went through.
If I buy a $25 off coupon from ebay, will I be able to use it online for these phones?

for those interested or that had problems they have this on sale next week for 10 more out the door but with a 20 easy rebate so no price match hassles, its 89.99 then coupin and trade makes it 45 but then it has a 20 easy rebate so 25 after all said and done no online price matching. I plan on doing it that way.
